Responsibilities:  Individual will drive compliance to food safety requirements across company’s global facilities. Support and give guidance to the organization for the Big 5 of Food Safety, environmental pathogen monitoring, food safety training, HACCP and related customer/supplier initiatives. Work with stakeholders to identify gaps and implement robust solutions.
Position duties include:
  • Drive Food Safety compliance by working with Enterprise Quality Field Services as well as plant Quality and leadership staff.
  • Create and standardize Food Safety requirements, documentation and execution of plant processes.
  • Support and enhance the Big 5 program for Food Safety: Traffic Patterns, GMPs, Infrastructure, Equipment Design, Sanitation.
  • Give guidance and ensure compliance for environmental pathogen monitoring program.
  • Monitor Construction Food Safety plans for appropriate and consistent content, documentation and execution.
  • Coordinate and innovate with Engineering for equipment and infrastructure standards, upgrades and problem solving.
  • Provide HACCP guidance to the organization including HACCP plan reviews and validation.
  • Coordinate and innovate with Research & Development on formulation safety and approval.
  • Support specified customer and supplier initiatives in conjunction with Enterprise Quality Field Services/Quality Systems/Supplier Quality groups, Sales, Operations and other functions as appropriate.
  • Provide support to Enterprise Quality Field Services and Quality Systems partners through coordinating and/or assisting with selected requirements, initiatives or situations.

Requirements:        The successful candidate will have:Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field
  • 10 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of microbiology and food science
  • Experience with process excellence methodologies
  • GFSI (SQF) and dairy PMO experience preferred
  • Knowledge in yogurt and cream cheese categories preferred.
Responsibilities: This position involves traveling to various plants in Wisconsin.  In this role, you will drive food safety and quality results across assigned regional facilities and product categories through successful implementation and monitoring of sustainable systems and processes.  Provide leadership and act as an interface between Enterprise Quality, plant leaders, partners, other support functions. Serve as primary functional contact with select customers on food safety and quality matters.  Specific responsibilities include:Driving food safety and quality results in assigned plants and product categories. Monitor key processes and data that drive food safety, process consistency and product quality, review food safety and quality metrics & key performance indicators, identify gaps and concerns and work with plant teams to improve results
  • Collaborate with Technologies, Operations, Sales , selected customers and other parties as necessary to investigate and  resolve customer issues, evaluate  root cause remediation and coordinate appropriate actions as well as communications
  • Train, educate, coach and mentor plant leaders and partners in key food safety and quality processes and requirement
  • Support Operations and Technologies in commercialization and product/process redesigns through documented and systematic commercialization, monitoring, verification and change management processes
  • Support sustainability efforts through collaboration and auditing to GFSI (SQF) and associated  processes as a platform for Food Safety and Quality systems.
