Principal Process Engineer N609
Eastern MA
Requirements: BS in engineering, food science, or related field plus
8-10 years experience or advanced degree with 4-5 years experience. Must have
manufacturing plant experience as well as lab experience. Must have strong
leadership ability to manage projects, teams and individuals. Data mining and
management experience is critical and a background in experimental design would
be ideal. Experience with crystallized fruits, extraction of oils (soy bean,
corn, peanuts, etc.) and drying experience are critical in this role. Must be
able to travel (approx. 30%.)
Responsibilities: Position will
• have full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and
coordinating projects and assignments.
• make authoritative technical/administrative decisions and recommendations on
projects that support innovation and renovation efforts in the food and beverage
network.
• demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and
solving problems that arise from processing food and/or beverage products.
• work closely with senior management in developing strategies that help achieve
the cooperative’s long term goals.
• determine program objectives and requirements and develop standards and
guidelines for diverse R&D activities. This role may supervise activities of
assigned staff members.
• be part of a team of approximately seven engineers (Packaging and Processing).
This role may focus on food and/or beverage products.
• be a point of contact for day-to-day support for several of our manufacturing
facilities.
Industrial Engineer H931
Memphis, TN
Requirements: BS in Industrial Engineering with strong internships to
3 years industrial experience. The individual must be a self-starter, motivated
and assertive with good communications skills, both oral and written.
Responsibilities: Perform and summarize time studies and work sampling
studies to establish or maintain standard and goal manning requirements. Prepare
engineering economic analysis of proposals. Compile and analyze standard data
for direct and indirect labor costs. Need to challenge the “status quo.” Assist
in solving problems requiring statistical and applied mathematical analysis.
Initiate proposals and provide alternatives to increase productivity to ensure
continuous improvement.
Maintenance Supervisor H921
Lexington, KY
Requirements: BS Degree plus previous experience in high speed food
production is required. Some previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Position requires the ability to make quick decisions and set proper priorities
to minimize downtime and keep a large production area up and running
efficiently. Must be willing to work in a wide variety of environments, work off
shifts, and work overtime.
Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the direct supervision
of a team of 10-15 mechanics in a high speed food production environment. Must
be vigilant in efforts to keep the team focused on working safely and
efficiently to properly support all production efforts. Specific
responsibilities include:
1. Supervise the maintenance of production equipment according to the
manufacturer's recommendations and experience with similar equipment
2. Proper utilization of maintenance personnel to ensure safe, effective, and
efficient operation of equipment
3. Review PM program and monitor schedules on existing equipment, as well as
assist in developing PM programs for new equipment
4. Coordinate parts and labor for assigned areas during any scheduled plant
shutdowns
5. Efficiently utilize all support groups to accomplish needed requirements
6. Maintain good human relation principles, communication skills, and quality
leadership with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
7. Maintain a sense of accountability with all subordinates for adherence to all
company guidelines, as well as personal performance
8. Document reoccurring equipment breakdowns and develop methods and programs to
help predict and prevent breakdowns
9. Drive a culture within your team that stresses personal safety, food safety,
and productivity.
